Welcome to English 10, a course that develops learners' multiliteracies and communicative competence through the study of World literature, language, and culture. This course provides opportunities for students to explore diverse literary texts, critically examine ideas and perspectives, and express their own identities through meaningful and creative outputs.

During the First Term, learners will study various forms of World Literature, including poetry, prose, and drama, to deepen their understanding of literary styles, structures, and cultural contexts. Students will evaluate literary texts based on their clarity of meaning, purpose, and target audience, while strengthening their reading, viewing, speaking, writing, and critical thinking skills.

By the end of the term, learners are expected to:

• Analyze the style, form, and features of literary texts from different cultures;
• Evaluate literary works according to their meaning, purpose, and intended audience;
• Demonstrate effective communication skills through oral, written, and multimodal activities;
• Appreciate cultural diversity and recognize how literature reflects human experiences and identities; and
• Compose and publish an original multimodal literary text in the form of a short film that expresses their intended message, purpose, audience, and expanding cultural identity.

This LMS course provides interactive modules, multimedia resources, collaborative discussions, assessments, and performance-based tasks that encourage learners to become independent, reflective, and creative communicators. Through the study of literature and language, students will gain a deeper appreciation of global cultures while developing a stronger understanding of their own cultural identity.
